Health Payment Center

Health Payment Center (hereinafter referred as – HPC) is the operating direct administrative institution subordinate to the Ministry of Health, which was established, in correspondence with the regulations Nr. 509 of the Cabinet of Ministers “Concerning the reorganization of state administrative institutions subordinate to Ministry of Health” (July 29, 2009), on the basis of Health Compulsory Insurance State Agency (hereinafter referred as – Agency), and is a successor of the functions of the Agency, as well as the tasks of its administration, rights, liabilities and budgetary funds.

The aim of Health Payment Center is to realize and implement state policy for availability of health care services, as well as to administrate the state budgetary funds prescribed for health care.

HPC carries out its activity in accordance with the regulations stated in Nr. 1149 issued by the Cabinet of Ministers on 6 October, 2009 “Health Payment Center Statute”.
